Single-mode laser with a continuously variable pulse duration

Abstract: A description is given of a single-mode neodymium-glass laser with a continuously variable duration of the output pulses (in the 40–80 nsec range). A KDP crystal is used in the resonator of this laser. A theoretical analysis of the operation of this laser is given.
