Vibrational temperatures in carbon dioxide lasers

Abstract: The results of measurements of the relative intensities of the vibronic bands of the 2+ system of N2 were used to calculate the vibrational temperatures in the discharges employed in CO2 lasers. The population inversions of the laser levels were also calculated. The results obtained were compared with those published by other workers. The radial dependences of the vibrational temperature were deduced.
