Abstract:
The diffraction problem is considered in the case of normal oscillations in open resonators. In the case of unstable resonators with large equivalent Fresnel numbers, the standard approach to the idealization of the boundary conditions gives rise to an unwarranted complication of the mathematical model. The properties of systems with smoothed mirror edges are considered.
