Coherence length and refined SHG equations for periodically poled nonlinear crystals

Abstract: An expression is obtained for the coherence length at a large wave mismatch and a criterion is found for the applicability of the concept of 'generalised mismatch' for SHG in periodically poled nonlinear crystals.
