N.G. Basov as a pioneer and organiser of laser research in the USSR

Abstract: Nowadays it is difficult to find a sphere of human life where lasers are not used. A huge role in their development in the USSR in the mid-1950s was played by Nikolai Gennadievich Basov, whose centenary of the birth we celebrated this year.
