Abstract:
The photoionisation spectrum of the second stage of the three-stage photoionisation scheme of lutetium 5d6s22D3/2 – 5d6s6p 4Fo5/2 – 5d6s7s 4D3/2 – (53375cm–1)o1/2 is studied. The degree of influence of two-photon transitions on photoionisation is experimentally investigated in comparison with the influence of one-photon stepwise transitions.
