Laser acceleration of neutrons (physical foundations)

Abstract: The concept of neutron acceleration in a gradient magnetic field of a "drifting" standing electromagnetic wave is presented. The promising fields of application of an accelerated directional beam of ultracold neurons, in particular, remote initiation of nuclear reactions, are suggested.
