Abstract: A novel approach is proposed for reconstruction of the temporal characteristics of radiation from the results of nonlinear—optical measurements. A description is given of an algorithm for the processing of a two-dimensional set of data, based on inversion of the Gabor transform. This algorithm makes it possible to reconstruct arbitrary temporal signals, including multipulse signals, in the absence of any a priori information on their profile.
