Chemical laser emitting visible radiation as a result of oxidation reactions

Abstract: It is demonstrated that, in principle, oxidation of germanium and tin, resulting in a population inversion of electronic levels of the GeO SnO molecules, can be used in chemical lasers emitting visible radiation. Initiation by infrared radiation emitted by CO2 or CO lasers or by a thermal method is considered.
