Reconstruction of the profile of ultrashort laser pulses in the course of their parametric up-conversion

Abstract: A method was developed for reconstruction of the profile of infrared pulses of 10^– 10–10^– 12 s duration using a sum-frequency field pulse generated by mixing in a nonlinear medium with a sufficiently wide pump pulse of constant amplitude.
