Abstract:
An investigation was made of the temporal, spatial, and energy characteristics of a laser system consisting of a master oscillator with a single convex mirror, a collimating spatial filter, and a power amplifier. High-power highly stable single-beam radiation with a controlled divergence was obtained. When GL-201 commercial active elements were used in the oscillator and amplifier, the radiation divergence was from 0.2 to 1.0 mrad and the average power was from 27 to 34 W when the radius of curvature of the convex mirror was varied from 1 to 10 cm.
