Abstract:
An investigation was made of laser emission from binary mixtures of dyes participating in photoprotolytic reactions. The formation of a lasing modification of one of the mixture components as a result of a photoprotolytic reaction ensured a substantial Stokes shift of the fluorescence, so that it was possible to prepare laser active media having an extended tuning range within the combined luminescence band of the mixture components. The spectral lasing range of these mixtures was extended (by up to 20%) compared with single-component solutions.
