Abstract:
An experimental and theoretical investigation was made of the characteristics of a DF–CO2 chemical laser utilizing an optically induced D2 + F2 = 2 DF reaction. The investigation was carried out in a wide range of the concentrations of the components and pressures in the gas mixture. A kinetic model of a DF–CO2 laser was used in a numerical analysis of the processes occurring in the active medium of a chemical laser. The calculated results were found to be in good agreement with the experimental data.
