Determination of the altitude profiles of the parameter C_n² in the atmosphere from optical radar measurements

Abstract: An analysis is made of the spatial structure of the fluctuations of the reflected optical field in a turbulent medium. A more accurate functional relationship is obtained for the determination of the altitude profiles C_n²(h) from the optical amplitude measurements. The mathematical analysis of the experimental results is discussed. Examples of the determination of C_n²(h) are given.
