Abstract:
A kinetic model is developed for a hypotherical laser using the electron transition [Xe2(3Σu+)+hνL(~175 nm)→Xe2(1Σg+)+2hνL], which is pumped by the processes Kr(1S0)+hνr(116.5, 123.6 nm)→Kr(1P1,3P1), Kr(1P1,3P1)+Xe(1S0)→Kr(1S0)+Xe(3P1), and Xe(3P1)+Xe(1S0)→Xe2(1Σu+)→Xe2(3Σu+), where the lower level is depopulated rapidly by the process [Xe2(1Σg+)→2Xe(1S0)].
