Influence of the group velocity mismatch on reproduction of the pump spectrum under stimulated scattering conditions

Abstract: A theoretical analysis is made of the reproduction, in stimulated scattering, of the time structure of prolonged pump radiation whose spectrum is much wider than the spontaneous scattering line. The influence of the group velocity mismatch on the precision of reproduction and on the gain is calculated.
