Pulse fluorometer measurement of the duration of the fluorescence of chlorophyll excited by a mode-locked laser

Abstract: Measurements were made of the duration of various components of the fluorescence of chlorophyll in a leaf. These measurements were carried out using a pulse fluorometer with an image converter. The time resolution of the instrument was 10^–11 sec. Measurements were made also of the duration of the fluorescence emitted by photosynthesis reaction centers. The results obtained were used as a basis of a model of functioning of the reaction centers in chloroplasts.
