Propagation of a laser pulse under conditions of optical breakdown at aerosol particles

Abstract: A model of equalized parameters of a breakdown zone is used in a numerical estimate ofthe coefficient of transparency of paths in an atmosphere with a background aerosol content for a collimated and focused CO₂ laser beam. The calculated transparency coefficient is compared with the available experimental data.
