Kinetics of emission of radiation from stripe injection lasers with double heterojunctions

Abstract: A theoretical justification is given of the mechanism of self-modulation of radiation emitted by stripe lasers. This mechanism relates instability of steady-state emission to the spreading of the electromagnetic field in the p-n junction plane at right-angles to the resonator axis during the formation of a light beam.
