Abstract:
A description is given of a neodymium-glass laser spectrometer with a dispersive cavity designed for operation in the 1.35–1.36 μ range. Its resolution is 0.2 cm–1 and the sensitivity expressed in terms of the absorption coefficient is 10–7 cm–1. It is reported that the spectrometer is capable of recording the P(1) transition in the 1–3 band of hydrogen fluoride and the absorption spectrum of atmospheric water vapor.
