Experimental investigation of difference-frequency fluctuations in a ring laser emitting at λ = 1.15 μ

Abstract: An investigation was made of natural fluctuations of the difference frequency emitted from a ring laser at λ = 1.15 μ. The measurements were carried out in the one-mode (when the threshold was exceeded by a factor up to 2.5) and two-mode regimes. The results obtained were compared with theoretical predictions.
