Abstract:
The aberration-free approximation is used to propose and analyze new algorithms for aperture tagging in adaptive control of the wavefront of a light beam. These algorithms are shown to have a number of advantages compared with the widely used gradient methods. The new algorithms make it possible to eliminate the dependence of the control response time and of the convergence of the iteration process on the distance from the receiver and on the beam power, and also to avoid stochastic and periodic operation of the adaptive system.
