Waveguide image transmission in coherent light (review)

Abstract: A review is given of the literature on optical image transmission and transformation in multimode waveguides. The theory of image formation in certain types of multimode waveguides is studied and calculations of some of their parameters are analyzed. The results of experimental investigations to verify image transmission and transformation and their possible technological applications are discussed.
