Abstract:
An expansion of an initial nonmonochromatic Stokes wave as a complete system of waves matched to nonmonochromatic pumping is used in an analysis of stimulated Raman scattering in a dispersion-free medium. The condition is found under which he initial noise Stokes wave transforms into a wave reproducing the envelope of the complex pump amplitude. This effect is compared with the well-known reproduction of the spatial structure of inhomogeneous pump radiation in stimulated scattering.
