Abstract: The shock-wave structure in a porous elastoplastic material is studied. In a certain range of parameters, the existence of a four-wave structure of a compression shock wave is possible. Regimes in which a reflected shock wave does not appear at all have been found in the problem of shock-wave reflection from a rigid wall. In this case, the entire energy of the incident shock wave transforms to thermal energy due to dissipation induced by the viscous collapse of the pores.
