Abstract: An approach to the construction of a calculation scheme for finding the contact area dimensions, pressure, and temperature for a thermosensitive sphere sliding along a fixed, thermally isolated base is suggested. The well-known solution for the constant thermal properties of the sphere material follows as a particular case of the solution obtained.
