A mixing layer in a homogeneous fluid

Abstract: A mathematical model for the evolution of a mixing layer in shear flows is constructed. The problem of a mixing layer with pressure gradient is solved: in particular, the distributions of the velocity and basic characteristics of turbulent flow in the mixing layer are obtained.
