Abstract: The problem of the force interaction of a vibrating sphere and a viscous liquid bounded from outside by a rigid wall at rest is studied under the assumption that the largest displacement of the sphere is small compared to its radius and the radius of the sphere is small compared to the distance between the sphere and the wall surface. The liquid flow and the force exerted by the liquid on the sphere are determined.
