Abstract: Propagation of low-amplitude waves in soils is studied within the framework of a hypoplastic model that describes the nonlinear behavior of grainy media. For one-dimensional disturbances, the original equations are reduced to a system of nonlinear wave equations. Results of the qualitative analysis and numerical solution of the problems are presented.
