Abstract: The paper is focused on the problem of constructing evolving fronts of quasilongitudinal and quasitransverse shock waves formed by incidence of an initial plane shock wave on a curvilinear interface between elastic transverse isotropic media with different physical properties. The parameter continuation method and the Newton algorithm are used to solve nonlinear Snell's equations. A method for calculating discontinuities of field functions is proposed. Shock-wave scattering and focusing as a particular case of bifurcation of shock fronts and formation of caustics are considered. A numerical example is given.
