Spontaneous nucleation of bubbles in a gas-saturated melt under instantaneous decompression

Abstract: Based on the kinetic theory of phase transitions, the problem of spontaneous nucleation of gas bubbles in a gas-saturated melt under instantaneous decompression is considered. The total number of nucleation centers formed in the process and their size distribution function are found.
