Abstract: The problem of motion of two “free” solid particles in a uniformly oscillating liquid is formulated and solved. In particular, it is found that the particles are capable of performing (side by side with oscillations) an average, monotonous displacement in the liquid as a whole.

Keywords: oscillating liquid, solid particles, force interaction, center-of-mass motion.
