Abstract: We have studied the effect of hydrogen absorbed by a metal on the pressure pulse generated by the electric explosion of a titanium foil. The absorbed hydrogen significantly influences the magnitude of the shock wave generated by the electric explosion of the foil. The saturation of the foil with hydrogen up to 0.42 mass% leads to a 53% increase in the pressure pulse amplitude.
