Abstract:
The role of incoherent scattering in the attenuation of transmitted radiation has been studied using the statistical theory of X-ray beam scattering in a narrow rough collimator. Based on the obtained approximation expressions for the coefficients of waveguide mode damping, it is predicted that the level of scattering near the absorption edge must exhibit a significant decrease due to dispersion, which is also manifested by decreasing intensity of the backscattered radiation.
