Phase qubit on a superconducting single-junction interferometer

Abstract: The energy spectrum of a phase quantum bit (qubit) implemented on a superconducting interferometer with a single Josephson junction has been studied in terms of the Hamilton formalism. An analytical formula for ground level splitting in the qubit spectrum is obtained and analyzed.
