Estimating anharmonic characteristics of single-sheet graphene at high temperatures

Abstract: Analytical expressions for the linear thermal expansion coefficients of graphene and diamond crystals and the dependence of their bulk moduli on the pressure and temperature have been obtained within the framework of Harrison’s bond-orbit model. A comparison of the results to those of published numerical calculations and available experimental data shows quite satisfactory coincidence. Features of the description of harmonic and anharmonic elastic characteristics are considered.
