Millisecond electric explosion of metal conductors

Abstract: Conditions of a consistent regime for millisecond electric explosion of a cylindrical metal conductor are considered. Estimations of the geometric parameters of a flat foil ring that are necessary for the consistent regime of electric explosion, are obtained. Experimental data on electric explosion of a flat foil ring under the action of a discharge current passing in the radial direction are presented.
