Controlling the induced magnetic moment in a system of magnetic dipoles

Abstract: Dynamics of the magnetic moment of a system of three and four spherical bodies possessing magnetic dipole moments has been numerically simulated. For the initial state with zero total magnetic moment, the action of an external variable magnetic field leads to the establishment of various regimes with induced magnetic moments, including quasi-static states. The possibility of controlling the induced magnetic moment by varying the amplitude and/or frequency of the variable magnetic field is demonstrated.
