Abstract:
A principle of driving nanotranslations by a piezoelement (PE) loaded with an inertial element from one side and a kinematic turning pair from the other side is considered. A model of the PE intended to operate with dry friction in a kinematic turning pair is proposed and the results of model calculations are presented. It is shown that the damping of PE oscillations increases the degree of control over the magnitude of translations. A prototype drive that implements the proposed principle is described.
