Abstract: Numerical simulations show that the character of flow and the extremal values of thickness of a locally heated liquid film flowing down a substrate under the action of gravity depend on the heater width. It is shown that there are certain critical values of the heater width. The effect of the Reynolds number of the flow on the process under consideration is established.
