Some factors determining optimum typical ranges of laser-accelerated ions in equimolar D–T fuel

Abstract: Models are presented, according to which laser-accelerated protons and other ions with typical ranges exceeding 1.2–1.5 g/cm$^2$ are expediently used in the late stages of hot spot heating in equimolar D–T fuel.
