Abstract:
The problem of determining the parameters of near wake flow past a pair of cylindrical bluff bodies from one-point spectra of the velocity pulsation is solved in the limit of an inviscid incompressible flow. For this purpose, the stability of wake configuration with respect to infinitesimal perturbations of the equilibrium localization of the vortices is analyzed within the framework of a flow model of two counterphase synchronized von Kármán vortex streets. A necessary condition for the flow stability is determined.
