Abstract:
The process of nonlinear optical transmission in solutions and thin films of 2-cyclooctylamine-5-nitropyridine (COANP) sensitized by C$_{70}$ fullerene additions has been studied. Possible mechanisms responsible for the attenuation of light flux intensity are considered. Comparative DSC data for a pure COANP and one sensitized by C$_{70}$ fullerene are presented that confirm the existence of one of these mechanisms.
