Abstract:
Main parameters that determine the rate of plasma transformation under various conditions of spark discharge excitation have been determined based on an analysis of changes in the gas phase composition during spark discharge operation in a closed volume. Controlling role of diffusion barriers in the supply of initial components to the region of plasmachemical reactions and the extraction of final products to the free volume of discharge cell is established. Rate constants of the main reactions have been determined for various values of the applied voltage. Variations of partial pressures of the initial and final gas-phase components formed during 5-h spark discharge operation have been calculated.
