Abstract: The propagation of an extremely short optical pulse in a layered structure composed of graphene and boron nitride is studied, the conduction electrons of this system are described in terms of the long-wave-length effective Hamiltonian in the case of low temperatures, and the electromagnetic field is taken into account on the basis of the classical Maxwell equations. A dependence on the velocity and maximum amplitude of an extremely short pulse is revealed.
