Abstract: An impedance model is constructed in the framework of a quasi-optical approach, which describes the propagation of radiation over a corrugated metal surface and its amplification by a rectilinear relativistic electron beam. It is shown that this scheme can provide effective amplification of radiation in a submillimeter wavelength range.
