Ultrasonic visualization of inhomogeneities in the structure of shear wave radiators

Abstract: It has been experimentally shown that inhomogeneities in the structure of shear wave radiators can be visualized by converting shear oscillations into longitudinal waves on these inhomogeneities. The generated longitudinal waves propagate into the immersion liquid surrounding the radiator and are received by a scanning ultrasonic transducer.
