Abstract:
An analytical expression for adsorption-induced changes in the static conductivity of the adlayer-single-sheet-graphene-substrate system has been obtained using the Kubo–Greenwood formalism with allowance for the dipole-dipole repulsion in the adlayer. The cases of both metal and semiconductor substrates have been considered. The results are applied to description of the hydrogen monolayer-single-sheet-graphene-tungsten substrate system. Numerical estimations show that the magnitude of the effect of the adsorbed hydrogen monolayer on the static conductivity $\sigma_{eg}$ of epitaxial graphene on tungsten is on the order of the $\sigma_{eg}$ value.
