Low-frequency oscillations of the impedance of electrolyte moving in an electro-osmotic regime

Abstract: The impedance of a liquid electrolyte has been studied under the conditions of electro-osmotic flow. It is found that the impedance exhibits oscillations in the region of subhertz frequencies, which are related to resonant mechanical oscillations arising in the flow. Assumptions concerning the type of these resonant oscillations are formulated based on the observed spectrum of impedance oscillations.
