Study of the effect of inactivating agents on the structure of adenovirus particles using small-angle X-ray scattering and transmission electron microscopy

Abstract: In this work, the effect of inactivating agents (formaldehyde and $\beta$-propiolactone) on the structure of viral particles was investigated using small-angle X-ray scattering and transmission electron microscopy. Data were obtained indicating the destruction of the natural structure of the adenovirus due to the effect of $\beta$-propiolactone. The results of this study may be useful in the development of vaccines.
